Is Danny Boyle Out Of The Running For Bond 25?
Danny Boyle might not be directing Bond 25.
The hype had been building around Danny Boyle potentially taking the helm of the next Bond movie, but it sounds like that plan has hit a slight snag. Because according to reports, Boyle has a new film on his immediate slate, and it’s nothing to do with 007.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Boyle has just signed on to direct a new musical written by none other than Richard Curtis. Not only that, it’s supposedly the very next thing on his agenda, which would cast serious doubt on his potential involvement in the next Bond film.

It had seemed that Boyle was the frontrunner to direct Bond 25, with regular collaborator John Hodge supposedly working up a script based on a concept suggested by Boyle. It’s not necessarily dead in the water just yet, with a production postponement still a possibility, but the studio will surely now be exploring other options.
Expect Christopher Nolan to be receiving a call any minute…
